Individuals that are approved for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits (SSDI) are not eligible to receive Medicare coverage until 24 months after their eligibility for SSDI begins. This article describes certain situations where an individual receiving SSDI benefits may be entitled to continue to receive Medicaid coverage in Delaware despite their income from SSDI.
